Income is important, but outcome is paramount.
Fast and Prey is committed to donating 10% of all retail profits to a few organizations of our choice that we have recognized for consistency and much needed service to their communities. Each of the below organizations will receive 1/4 of that 10% based on the sales of the previous month. If you are on the fence about taking your next steps, just know that doing so now can help these great organizations. Here is a bit about each one:
Philabundance - This organization began with one person rescuing and distributing food with their Subaru. For nearly 40 years, that operation has grown to covering nine counties across two states with a fleet of trucks and vans. They have had a long-standing commitment to serving underprivileged communities and persons as the nation faces growing food insecurity. It was an honor to work with them and other business owners during the 2023 Thanksgiving season to help feed over 10000 families. There is no reason why we cannot make that effort year-round.
Lupus Research Alliance - very dear to my heart, both in a long-term professional relationship with this organization, but also personally with the symptoms and stresses I witnessed this ailment wrought on my late fiance' - Lupus is such a tricky disease to pin down both in cure and treatment. There ARE however great advancements being made recently, but for those looking for relief in the meantime, I love that we have everything from anti-inflammatories, digestive health aids, and skincare products to assist with dealing with its difficulty in the meantime.
Parish of Calvary St. George - Calvary-St. George's Parish is an Episcopal parish in Manhattan, New York City. The current Rector is Jacob Smith, who came to the parish and was ordained as a presbyter in the fall of 2006 and installed as Rector in 2017.
Calvary-St George's was the birthplace of Alcoholics Anonymous. It also served as the launch point for Let My People Go, a non-profit organization that teaches churches how to fight human trafficking, and sponsors Out Not Down, an LGBT youth homelessness prevention program. Lastly, a soup kitchen ministry serves meals to approximately 125 people on Thursdays at noon.
The last 1/4th will be reserved to spotlight an new organization every month to help build in abundance and serve others so that they may pay it forward as well.
Thank you all for your continuing support and we look forward to continuing to improve ourselves and those around us as we #HustleWithHeart. Look for the hash tag on social media as we continue to grow this effort.
